The Plus X Award honours ABUS products for their advancement in terms of quality. 144 high-class neutral industrial jury members from 32 nations decide each year about which products offer this advancement in terms of quality. The Plus X Award honours innovative and viable long-term products, which exhibit at least one "Plus X" factor – the added value of a product that is deemed to be worthy of an award.
Products that win a Plus X Award have been shown to exhibit qualities that only brand products can offer: innovation power, excellent design, top quality, operating comfort coupled with functionality, ecologically practical, efficient and well-considered ergonomics – credible purchasing selling points for both dealers and consumers.
The ABUS IR pan & tilt network camera was also honoured in 2010 - in addition to the award presented for innovation, design and operating comfort, it received the Plus X Award for the "Best Product".
