A criminal drives into the glass doorway of an electronics store at high speed, with the aim of robbing the business: but this is not a scene from some Hollywood film – this actually happened in the Euronics XXL store in Haßfurt. Break-ins and shoplifting are sadly a reality there. Smartphones, tablets and the like are high in demand and often targeted by thieves as they are extremely valuable and easy to transport. In order to provide an effective deterrent to these increasingly reckless thieves, Manager Marco Schlegelmilch has turned to ABUS video surveillance technology. A total of 30 IP cameras have been installed in order to provide reliable protection for both indoor and outdoor areas, day and night.
